Michael Kors "Skorpios" Flap Shoulder Bag: Sometimes You Feel Like a Nut...

There is something so appealing about walnut-colored textured leather. The possibilities are endless (try to think of a single shade it won't go with) and you just want to keep looking at it. I love this gorgeous, neutral color, and so does Michael Kors. He knows how to command, not overcome, a leather as supple and inviting as this. The "Skorpios" was popular as a tote bag, but this flap-over version - a convenient, convertible top-handle-to-shoulder bag - is seriously worth lusting over. For small girls, the strap will even let it double as a crossbody, for ultimate convenience.

Smooth, fluid lines are punctuated by woven leather details, which compliment the matte gold hardware. The combination of summery weave suggesting a handmade touch and buffed golden touches reminds me of the Italian Riviera - which is exactly where I think I should take this sumptuous bag. Easy to carry and beyond versatile, it's an ideal vacation tote. Maybe we'll also swing over to the private island of Skorpios while we're at it!
