Tory Burch and Michael Kors: Primary Election

Let's think back to elementary school art class and the very basics of the color wheel. Primary colors, by definition, are sets of colors that can be combined to create a range of shades. The same idea applies to bags! The bright bag is a brilliant way to set the tone for a simple look, and convert a crisp white dress or even dull neutrals into a perfectly appropriated palette.

Sometimes the enduring shades of classic Crayolas feel fresher than ever, and now is one of those moments. Tory Burch and Michael Kors, two definitive American designers (there is something so spiritedly American about bold reds and blues), have unleashed basic bags that are anything but boring.
