Elie Tahari 2012 Resort: Tahari Takes a Vacation - and Brings Back a Can't-Miss Tote

For their 2012 Resort collection, creative director Kobi Halperin was inspired the famous - and oft-referenced - Majorelle Gardens in Marrakesh, Morocco. The result: flowing silhouettes, splashes of embroidery, wearable turbans, and even more wearable totes. I must admit I didn't know Elie Tahari made bags, let alone cute ones at affordable prices.

These duffel-style tote bags are great for the world-traveler or more likely, the busy girl on the go. I love the Tahari "Talia" - the east-west tote is slightly structured with just enough slouch to look effortless. Wrapped handles give it some exotic allure; a simple bag like this needs an interesting detail. Between black leather on python-print canvas (a casual luxe skin-reference that works on this shape) or eye-popping marigold leather color-blocked with chestnut, this will easily be your daily go-to bag.

"Talia" Handbag in Python-Print Canvas for $398.
